I’ve dined here before with my family, and every visit has been amazing. The crawfish are hands down some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly seasoned and always fresh. Their beef jerky is surprisingly good, seriously addictive. The papaya salad is authentic and full of flavor, especially when paired with sticky rice. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Just thinking about the food makes me want to go back. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Definitely worth checking out.

2025 We’re back! Unfortunately they didn’t have fresh crawfish. I remember growing up in WA we call it crayfish. Still one of our favorites, but note the Lao sausage is more Esan flavors. 2024 We still think the food is great and this is the only place in SA we know that serves Lao food. On this occasion, fresh crawfish is great and very reasonable at $ per lb, which could probably charge more. The Lao sausage, this has changed, not as sour or fragrant but fattier. We tried the Tom Yum soup, good value as there is lots of chicken but a bit too many chickens and would prefer less, instead more tomatoes/mushrooms and fresh chili instead of dried chilis. This and lime on the side would improve the flavor. We still enjoy dining here! 2023 Back for fresh crawfish! One of the better deals per lbs. Lao beef jerky and yummy fluffy donuts! Lao restaurant!!! At this moment, and please correct me, this is the only Lao restaurant in town but limited to the recognizable dishes for the local palate. Lao sausage and sticky rice. Sausage almost perfect, I prefer dryer and less fat with the aroma of lemon grass as you bite into it. Wish there was jeow mak len to go with it. Papaya salad. This was a bit sweet for our taste but a bit of lime fix it. Needs a little more anchovies for us but it’s Dede Lao style. Nam khao. Almost perfect, we can tell the difference on the nam, cutting versus ripping by hand and Nam flavor. Snow crab and crawfish boil. We knew it’s not fresh but opted to try. The crab was great, but not crawfish, not on them, just can’t beat fresh crawfish. Will be back when it’s in season. I’m happy we found this place, year not exact to how we like our Lao food but it’s close, good value and service, will definitely be my go to Lao restaurant here.

Wow, what a find! Delicious Lao flavored crawfish, they do offer the traditional Cajun spice but the house Lao Spice hit the mark! Crawfish size was awesome, Gumbo was hearty and flavorful, we ended up soaking all of the crawfish sauce with the rice from the gumbo! It was that good! Price is much better than HEB Seafood boils! Crazy! Highly recommended, watch the operating hours as they open from Tuesdays at 4pm!

I came here for the Thai food instead of their seafood boil and I was impressed! Generous protein servings with their chicken pad thai that I couldn’t finish my plate. The crab fried rice had large chunks of crab meat too! The servers were super helpful and friendly. I will return for the seafood boil next time!

Great chow! Awesome service. Delicious seafood and lots of great mix it up options. My favorite was the salt and pepper grabs. Delicious! Was worth the drive across town.

We were not expecting to find a gem here at Crawfish King, forget all the other overrated spots, this is home of authentic wild caught seafood broils meets Asian fusion cuisine. Absolutely fell in love with the house sauce and the warm welcome. We met the owner and he's humble down to earth. Don't think twice, come eat here!

One of the newest Crawfish restaurants, a true hidden gem in Live Oaks/SA areas. Come by and check out yourself. They serve delicious and fresh garlic butter crawfish, Lao/Thai Papayas Salads and delicious shrimp fried rice. A good place for family meal. See pictures and review. Highly recommend for any visitors or crawfish lovers

The flavors are absolutely amazing! I went with 3 of my friends, we all had something different and every single dish was delicious. I love how many choices you get. If you don’t want the seafood bucket, you can just opt for a pad thai instead, which is one of the best pad thai’s I have ever had and it took me years to find a good one. We also loved that you can combine different sauces and add more of the seafood you like (more crawfish for example). 10/10 yum!
